Busy, busy, busy!

Time has been moving so fast! With sneakers to the pavement I am doing my best to keep up with it!  First and foremost, I want to say a great big THANK YOU! to everyone who has purchased my two recent books Forever Kaleigh - The Second Edition and The Lucky Love Tree.  Your words and kind thoughts mean the world to me!  If you have a moment or two, I would really love it if you would take those kind words and head over to, or to leave them in a review for me!

Self-publishing and Self-promotion has been a very interesting road to travel. I have always been a fairly private person, with the exception of my family and friends (they pretty much know everything about me; including my flaws)! But in recent times I have had to open up and let a little bit more about myself out there into the cold unforgiving world; open for total judgement and criticism. As I'm sure you all know, people can be cruel.  I'm beginning to grow a thicker skin and learning how to accept what people say without letting it sink in and change who I am. The nice things are always easier to hear, though!

The beginning of this month brought about the release of my latest book, Mema's Magical Music Tree.  It's very hard for me to classify this book as just a children's story, because it is an inspirational book meant for people of all ages who have lost a love one.  I lost my father twelve years ago, but I believe that his spirit is still with me and he leaves me signs to let me know when he is around.  I hope for all of you that you may find a bit of comfort with reading this story.  As of today, it is available on  I have some on order but they are still in processing and will be available here on June 27th.

I hope to blog again before August 1st, but if I don't get the chance, I would like to let you know about an Event that I am chairing.  Relay For Life of Aurora is a community event that benefits American Cancer Society.  It is an over night walk that begins on Friday evening, continuing through Saturday morning.  Cancer doesn't sleep, so neither do we!  Teams of participants walk a high school track all night long.  We raise money for the ACS, while celebrating the lives of those who are fighting cancer and  those who have battled and won; as well as remembering those that we have lost. I have been involved with this Relay for nine years, but this is the first year that I am actually running the event.  Each participant finds their own way to raise money and this year for part of my fundraising efforts, I will donate $2.00 of every one of my books purchased from my website or me personally.  This will run from today through end of Relay on August 2nd.  Or if you would like to just donate directly you can do so on my personal Relay page!  I am very thankful for anyone willing to help!  Thanks!

Well, the moment has come to tie my sneakers and catch the coat tails of time!  Have a wonderful day!
