August 7. 2020
Amazing that six years has passed since I last blogged on here. Children have grown into adults, grandchildren have a arrived and a pandemic has taken over all of our lives. Protests, riots, anger, social division, and fear seem to have engulfed the normality of Life. Twenty-twenty is shaping up to be a real hum-dinger!
Now that my youngest has graduated and I have officially retired from homeschooling, it's time to focus on me. In March I published a new children's book for my grand-daughter Ava, called A Tree Between Us. The movement of Life has taken her a few states away and I miss her everyday! The book addresses the distance between her and I, yet gives her the reassurance that no matter how far apart we are, my love for her is always there. Even though I wrote the story for her, it truly is for everyone right now, with our limited ability to travel and visit our loved ones.
I have also begun to refocus on my art. I have put that on the back burner for awhile with my busy life taking the forefront. Soon I will totally revamp this website to include some of my art pieces. I am excited to begin that journey again and look forward to sharing it with all of you!
I hope that 2020 has begun to calm down for you! May you all have a bright and shiny future come your way!
All my best, Kim
